Quimiapan Coffee is a specialty coffee farm located in Coatepec, Veracruz. Our 17th-century hacienda is the center of our operations, where we focus on growing, processing, and roasting high-quality coffee.

We oversee every stage of production, from planting seedlings to roasting the final beans. Our coffee is processed using washed, honey, and natural methods to create distinct flavor profiles. We supply home brewers, specialty coffee shops, and restaurants looking for high-quality beans.

Quimiapan Estates also offers a unique opportunity to live within a working coffee farm. Our residential spaces allow you to experience the coffee lifestyle firsthand, surrounded by nature and the daily operations of coffee production.

About us

Quimiapan Coffee is built on a legacy that spans nearly a century. In the mid-1930s, our family acquired an old hacienda along with 23 hectares of land, covered in orange and tangerine groves. What started as a citrus farm gradually transformed as we discovered the potential of the region’s rich volcanic soil and ideal climate for coffee cultivation.

Over the years, we transitioned to coffee, refining our practices and learning from generations of farmers who dedicated their lives to the craft. It wasn’t until the last four years, however, that we fully committed to specialty coffee, channeling all our efforts into growing, processing, and roasting the highest-quality beans.

Today, Quimiapan Coffee is more than a farm—it’s a testament to our family’s dedication and passion. We blend tradition with innovation, preserving the knowledge passed down while embracing modern techniques to bring out the best in every bean. Whether you visit our historic hacienda, walk through our plantation, or taste our coffee, you’re experiencing a story that began decades ago and continues to evolve with every harvest.

What we do

Our work begins with selecting the best coffee varieties—those known for their exceptional flavor profiles and complex notes. We carefully choose seeds and plant them so they can grow into strong seedlings. Once they reach the right stage, they are transferred into individual bags filled with nutrient-rich soil to maximize their growth potential. At our nursery, they are carefully fertilized and monitored until they are ready to be transplanted to their permanent home on the plantation, where they will thrive for years.
